One score years ago the parent company (located in Bangkok) of Mekong Treks was already operating tours in the countries of Southeast Asia until today. In 2004 Mekong Treks was inaugurated in Chiang Rai (Thailand) so as to be in an advantageous position for overland travels into the surrounding Mekong River countries. Being on-the-spot will enable us to have a better hold and control of the quality and operation of our tours in the Mekong region countries. Together with Myanmar Tourex Travel of Yangon, SEA Overland Travels of Bangkok opened the company to focus solely on travels in the Mekong region countries.
